Stupidity.

Alright, so I've been reading countless articles about the MTAwanting to increase fares for Metrocards and stuff. I just read this one article where it was talking about how the MTA plans on putting a $1 cost on purchasing a new Metrocard. That $1 wouldn't exist if the purchaser chose the refill option instead of the "Get a New Card" option. As stated in the newspaper, it only costs the MTA eight cents to print a single Metrocard. Eight cents. They might also go and limit the number of rides that a person can take using the unlimited Metrocard. One comment, it's called an unlimited ride Metrocard, not the limited ride Metrocard.
See here, these jerks are nickel and diming us from all of our money, yet they're still using their money to create new trains. In addition to this, there's new buses also. You know, the new M22 and M15..? We are all paying more for new trains and buses, alright, that's a little nice and all. But here's the thing. There's one slight catch to this. Two, actually. One, the air conditioning on the new buses suck. Two, they've cut the services so there are less trains running, the train fares are higher and also, the train services are changing a whole lot faster. They've discontinued countless bus services from weekends and I know this because I usually take the M21 to my Saturday art classes. They've also discontinued the W and V trains. Many of the N trains are running local now even though there are more people taking the express lines than there are people taking the local. I'm just saying, the older models for the trains and their air conditioning were nice. They worked fine. Sure, they may have made loud screeching sounds but the new trains do the same. The lighting in the old trains were bad and the new ones are nice but still, the new trains' lighting will wear out sooner or later. What will they do then? Make new trains again?
There was this one article on July 5th about a few transit workers getting attacked. That shouldn't even be in the newspaper! Everyone obviously saw it coming considering the service changes and the changes in fares. The MTA's just being inconsiderate. Everyone is troubled by the recession already and the MTA does all this, too? I'm pretty sure many people are pissed off, and it's only a matter of time before someone's killed by angry commuters.
